Graffiti sculptor KWEST and Manitoulin Island-based metal fabricator One KWE have been hard at work collaborating on the creation of a stunning large scale sculptural piece that will find a permanent home in downtown Sudbury.

We are incredibly excited to finally reveal that their new sculpture will be installed on the greenway next to the tracks at the McEwen School of Architecture.

Up Here has curated over 50 pieces of public art since 2012. Thanks to Laurentian University and the Ontario Arts Council, we are excited to add an impressive first sculptural piece to downtown Sudbury’s growing urban art gallery.

The piece called “Between Lines” will reflect the history and impact of trains on Sudbury. We can’t wait for you to see it.

In the meantime, here are some other examples of KWEST and OneKWE’s work to give you a taste of what you can expect.
