Unlock Downtown Discounts for Up Here 10

We’ve always thought the real headliner of Up Here festival is, and always will be, Downtown Sudbury. Up Here, by its very design, wants to celebrate everything that’s so weird and wonderful about our downtown.

Downtown Sudbury is our homebase. It’s where most of us live, where we have the vast majority of our shows, where most of our murals are. It’s where we gather with friends, have some drinks, sell some merch, and hang out all weekend long. It’s a place where we welcome familiar faces and invite new folks to celebrate art, community, and making memories together.

We’re beyond grateful for The Downtown Sudbury Business Association’s support, so be sure to visit these local gems and snag these promotions from Thursday, August 15 to Sunday, August 18.

The Townehouse Tavern (206 Elgin St)
Bar games, pool, live performances, and damn good beer…The Townehouse has been Downtown’s music hub for over 30 years, presenting over 1,000 shows from artists from around the globe. It’s the kind of FKA dive bar you can take your grandma to. This weekend, it’s $5 off Truly Seltzer buckets and $20 for a Classic Burger with fries & a pint! You’ll also want to make sure to swing by for our stellar late-night performances!

The Candy Store (154 Durham St)
Did you know this is the only vintage candy store in all of Sudbury? Take a stroll down memory lane and revisit your favourite childhood snacks. Smoke a Popeyes’ sugar stick, chew some Hubba Bubba, and savour sweets from around the world. Or, take the kids for a sugary history lesson and have them try the treats that were cool before cool was even cool. Starting August 15, grab a special $4 surprise bag and get a little bit of everything!

Wander Food & Wine (112 Durham St)
Feeling hungry (with a side of “maybe a glass of wine or two”)? Head on over to Wander Food & Wine for small plates, big flavours, and amazing wine pairing recs. Wander takes you through a culinary journey around the world, all while keeping its roots local with vibrant community events—Tasting Room Thursdays, Friday Pincho Parties, monthly brunches, etc. For Up Here 10, they’re offering a 2-for-1 Parmesan Truffle Fries special, but don’t forget to reserve first!

The Alibi Room (113 Durham St)
Now this place really is something cool. Think moody speakeasy vibes: 1920s wooden bar, live swanky music, killer cocktails…It’s an atmosphere unlike any other. Kyle and his staff will make sure you feel welcomed from the moment you step foot inside to the minute the door closes behind you. This weekend, build your own board and get a free selection of two Charcuterie items with purchase. We recommend the Pickled Goods!

Huckleberries Chocolatiers (110 Durham St)
Chocolate confections, truffles, s’mores and ice cream. Is your mouth watering yet? Huckleberries has been part of the Downtown Family for 20 years now, and it’s no surprise! Denise makes everything with her own two hands, and when you’re craving something sweet, seeing her just adds to the sweetness. Make sure to stop by for some ice cream during this hot summer weekend, and unlock $1 off any small, medium, or large ice cream

Knowhere Public House (130 Elm St Unit 102)
Craft beer, fresh dishes, friendly staff—Knowhere truly champions this community by supporting local farmers and businesses year-round. As a dedicated Up Here 10 Partner, they’re graciously hosting some RBC Northern Series performances and crafting a special menu and signature cocktail that’s irresistible. There’s always a new dish to try, but the vibes stay cozy, like catching up with an old friend (psst…they’re also throwing in a 15% discount if you show your pass).

Books and Beans Cafe (158 Elgin St)
This one goes out to all you coffee fiends out there…Books & Beans Cafe is the go-to spot if you’re looking for a nice warm (or cold) cup of somethin’ good. With an awesome selection of both drinks and indie books, it’s the ideal place if you’re craving something different for each day of the festival (and a nice calm moment). For Up Here 10, they’re generously offering 15% off all drinks, so even if coffee ain’t your cup of tea, you’ve got tons to choose from!
