Artist Statement

This mural reflects the theme of this year’s festival, ‘Wake Up Now’, and explores the interconnected themes of rest and awakening. The piece begins with a sleeping figure, recognizing rest as an essential first step toward renewal. Slowly, the figure’s eyes open, transitioning into a state of awakening. The blooming florals surrounding the figure act as a visual symbol of this ongoing transformation and renewal.
