Artist Statement
Inspired on the Indigenous wisdom taught by the different cultures of the American continent, when the eagle of the north and the condor of the south fly together, a worldwide awakening of consciousness will consequently begin
La Pupila
A Colombian artist based in what is now known as Toronto, La Pupila focuses on exploring feminine energy, often with an aura of melancholy. Through symbols, distorted forms, and evocative faces, she hopes to illustrate her feats, hopes, and desire for a tender world.
Artiste colombienne établie dans la région qu’on appelle maintenant Toronto, l'œuvre de La Pupila explore l’énergie féminine, souvent avec une aura de mélancolie. Par le biais de symboles, des formes déformées et des visages évocateurs, elle espère représenter ses succès, ses espoirs et son désir pour un monde plus tendre.
