Christian is of Anishinaabe heritage from Fort William First Nation. Storytelling has informed him of his culture by shaping his identity, personal experiences, and worldview, and it fuels his vibrantly irreverent two-dimensional, mixed-media art, which fuses elements of computer-manipulated images, painting, drawing, and printmaking.
