Up Here is an independent urban art & emerging music festival.
Up Here takes place on the traditional lands of the Atikameksheng Anishnawbek in N'Swakamok, also known as the city of Greater Sudbury, which includes the traditional lands of the Wahnapitae First Nation. We pay tribute to all First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples who we see as caretakers of the past, present and future of this land.
Every summer, Up Here brings together dozens of muralists, musicians and installation artists to transform downtown Sudbury into an urban art gallery.
Up Here is a project of We Live Up Here, a volunteer-run non-profit organization founded in 2012 around the simple idea that art can playfully reshape our community.

Legal Graffiti Wall
From locals shaking a can of spray paint for the first time, to seasoned street artists ripping burners as they pass through town, Sudbury’s only legal graffiti wall has seen a lot of action since 2018.
Up Here is a laboratory for the creation and presentation of new works of art.
Up Here is town animated into a boutique festival with the live creation of large scale murals, the presentation of over 50 concerts by emerging artists, and pop-up shows in surprising locations.
It is an intimate multi-venue experience on a human scale and an immersive urban adventure distinct from traditional festivals. Up Here is powered by one hell of a generous and passionate community.
